This is a good hotel for location in downtown Charlotte. Close to the arena and banking industry. The room wasn't anything special. The drain in the tub did not drain and the shower was nothing but a trickle. TV needs to be updated to a flatscreen (I've stayed at less expensive hotels that had more modern conveniences). No fridge or microwave in the room. Lights from the building next door shown brightly in the room all night! Yes there were drapes, but if they were closed the air conditioner vents would be blocked. Suggest they shorten the drapes to avoid the problem.

The hotel was easy to find but with all the construction going on in the area it was not a quiet stay. The front desk was not very friendly at check in. The hotel restaurant and bar had excellent service and the food was excellent. The room did not have any extra amenities which was an issue since we had been on the road for three days. A microwave or mini-refrigerator would have been nice. The daily parking fee was expensive.

The service I received is the best I have ever received in the 15 years I have been traveling and staying in hotels. The hotel is very clean. I was surprised when I walked in the door. I thought I was at the wrong hotel. This hotel is nicer than the Omni and Hilton in which I usally stay. Best location in relation in uptown. Close to everything.
